Art Quilts ~ a world of whimsey

Art quilts use traditional and non traditional piecing methods to create designs based on experiences and the whimsical mind rather than a pattern. Fabric is sewn together, layered with batting, and then followed by a base layer of fabric. All layers are then stitched together to create additional design and texture.

Magical Series

Pukeko Fairy is holding a young pukeko. The pukeko or Australasian swamphen lives in New Zealand as well as other countries.

Lamb Fairy brings the lamb to the sheep

The sunflower fairy is sowing seeds to keep her field of flowers growing,

Willow's Woodland designed for Willow shows the wildlife in her neighborhood. Her dog Paddles is a magical fairy flying over the willow tree.
